Welcome back to Tremendous Term Three

Hi everyone

Welcome back after the holidays it has been lovely to see all the class bright and breezy and excited to see each other.

We have been having fun with lots of shape challenges in KrM. The students have been creating 3D shapes using marshmallows and sticks and this involved lots of discussion about edges, faces and other features and names of the 3D shapes that they made. Using 2D shapes we also challenged ourselves to make a shape by using and rotating other shapes. Flynn shared a wonderful challenge to create the tallest tower using marshmallows and sticks that really made us think.

Our animal experts are very switched on. We have been researching the habitats, features, food and movements of many different animals and the students have shared very detailed information with their thinking partners. This animal thinking also provoked lots of creativity as dinosaur settings, kangaroo hospitals, horse shows, ocean paintings and drawings, lego zoos and museums were created. We will continue to share our animal expertise in many different ways. Our focus and creativity is even stronger in term 3!

This is an exciting time as we have been sharing ideas about our Arts Festival. We will be making costumes, props, writing our play and collaborating to choreograph our dance on stage together. Please save the date of our performance, Friday 13th May at 9 a.m.

This weekend Bobby and Smili are looking forward to a fun time with Flynn and Aarav.

Thanks

Mrs M & Ms Sally
