Hi everyone
Happy New Year and a big hello to Harvey and his family who joined KrM this year. The students have been fantastic and Harvey is a great addition to our class :)
We have started the term thinking about our wishes for 2016 and how we can share kindness with others. Mr Wilcox was very impressed with how our young Jedi's are growing and we all practised being heartful and sending positive energy and love to those around us. We have had a wonderful glow all week in KrM
This week we have been exploring passions and the class have been acting out how their favourite things make them feel. It was great fun guessing the passions we have in KrM. We have been using our interest in this unit to find out about other peoples passions around school. Thank you to Liz who shared her passion for sewing. The class are very excited to be trying out some of the skills in sewing that Liz shared over the next few weeks. The class loved visiting other classes with their surveys to ask them about their passions too. We will be using the data that they collected to develop passion areas in K2.
In maths we have been refreshing our brain cells about tens and ones. The students have had fun using objects, iPad apps and posters to show their thinking and challenge themselves too.
Here are a few photographs showing great thinking this week:
This weekend Smili and Bobby are looking forward to their adventures with Flynn and Clotilde. Remember next Wednesday 13th January, is a Professional development Day for the staff so there is no school.
