Learning time :)

Hi everyone

Thank you for sharing our learning today, the students have been very excited to show you their classroom and all the learning they enjoy. They have really grown this term and their energy is infectious. We are very impressed by their thinking and wonderful creativity.

This week got off to a great start. In assembly on Monday Sandra shared her ideas with the Infant School on how to save water. She did a super job and we were all very proud of her. Our action ideas and posters have encouraged many people at home and school to think about how they can Reduce, Reuse, Refuse and Recycle. Keep up the great work KrM :)

Esme and Joseph enjoyed finding out about the where our rubbish in school goes to and they have created a book to tell us all this information. They also found out about how the school saves and uses rainwater and energy too. We will all be using Book Creator next week to make our own information books. We look forward to sharing these with you soon.

In Maths our data thinking has been great. We have been sorting, counting and adding amounts to find the total with so many materials. Keep those number muscles growing!

Thank you to Judy for the yummy crispie cakes the class loved their time cooking with you. Also we had a wonderful Thanksgiving Celebration today. Connie, Michael, Joanna and Zhihong helped us find out all about this celebration and we enjoyed the fantastic activities in class. Our Thanksgiving tree has some lovely messages of thanks. Amanda was a great Mystery Reader and we learnt all about exclamation marks too :)

We are excited about the Uniting Nations Day next Thursday. Our class will be on the left of the stage near the Gamelan when you are choosing seats in the auditorium. The students will need a labelled plastic container for our visit to the Food Festival with our Grade 3 buddies. Don't forget to dress up in your costume too. This will be a colourful day for us all. Our K2 performance is 12.30-1.20 in the auditorium. If you wish to collect your child after the show please meet us back at the classroom.

We look forward to seeing you on 9th December at the Parent Teacher Conference and if you are free for the K2 End of Term Party on Thursday 10th from 12.30-1.30 pm. Liz and Shilpa will share more details with you all next week.

Aliya and Haoting will be enjoying their weekend with Smili and Bobby. We look forward to hearing all about your adventures on Monday.
Have fun

Mrs M & Ms Sally
