Dynamic Discovery in KrM

Hi everyone

Welcome back after the break. We have had a super start and our creative energy has been amazing all week. In our Discovery Times we have created chocolate machines, roller coasters, enormous light sabres, surprise boxes and much more. We have many ideas to begin and build on using recycled materials next week. Sehar and Aarav shared their recycling ideas which helped us all in our thinking. You will see from the photo album that we are a dynamic group as the students have taken many of the photographs themselves to show their creations evolving.

Zakki shared his photograph book documenting his holiday and this has been a focus of many conversations and other class members creating photo stories and information books themselves. We have written a class 'Materials' book this week using lots of ideas about how Non-Fiction books are made.  Next week we are looking forward to making stories about our own recycling Super Hero and creating these characters too.

Our creative costumes looked great and it was fun being dressed up all day. The students are excited for Monday as Mrs M (as a pirate today) has hidden some treasure for the class to find; we are all hoping the clues to find this hidden treasure will be easy to follow.

Thank you to Emilyn's mum as we enjoyed playing our literacy game in class today. We had a lovely end to the week as well, Clotilde's mum and brother surprised us as our first Mystery Readers. It was fantastic to see the class enjoying this special story time together.

Bobby and Smili are very excited to be sharing their weekend with Sebastian and Esme.
Have a fun weekend.

Thanks

Mrs M & Ms Sally
