Hi everyone
Thank you for a super week, the class have been creating all kinds of books, models and our Creative Station has been growing with resources every day. Our book basket has triggered the authors in KrM and we have been sharing lots of wonderful stories and information books that the students have made. Next week we will sharing our favourite stories and using these as a stimulus to create our own books. Please encourage your child to bring in their favourite book next week to share in class. Thank you for the super reading at home and rememberuing to add the title and comments to the Reading Record, our class are loving their reading times.
This week we started our new Unit of Study, "Magic Materials" and the students have made some wonderful models using recycled materials. The class have been hunting for all kinds of materials for our material display. You may wish to hunt for interesting materials at home that the class can bring in to add to our collection. After sharing information from the bags of materials books in the POD Tom had a super idea to create a museum of sculptures made from different materials which we are all looking forward too. If you have any recycled or interesting materials that we can use in class please send them into school.
In Maths we have been exploring counting forward and backwards and adding amounts together. It has been great to see the class making a range of numbers using plasticine and being confident to play number games with one or more die. Enjoy counting at home, I wonder if you can add some jumps and skips as you count over the weekend?
An iMovie is coming soon to give you a peek into KrM this week so you can share at home the fun and great thinking we are all doing together.
Bobby and Smili are enjoying a long weekend with Carlos and Clotilde. Wishing you all a lovely weekend.
Thanks
Mrs M & Ms Sally
