Super Week Six

Hi everyone

In KrM this week all got off to a super start and renamed the week "Super Week Six". We have all been training to be young Jedis with Mr Wilcox. This has been great fun as we have been thinking about our bodies and breathing to be in control of how we move and interact with everyone in school. We will also be sharing our skills with our Grade 3 buddies who are exploring mindfulness in their class too. The students can share their techniques at home with you as all the family may wish to train your minds and become Jedis with us.

This week we have been creating characters and using speech bubbles to bring our characters to life. We started with Captain Caring and our imagination went wild. We have so many wonderful characters in our class now and lots of stories emerging from these ideas. In maths we have been comparing the number of letters in our names and this is a great counting activity at home as well. Finding words around your home and in Singapore is a fantastic family challenge over the weekend. Swimming has been fun and the students are developing their strokes really nicely. You can see and hear the excitement in KrM during pool time.

Our Discovery times have led to lots of questions and explorations. Investigating cardboard and polystyrene led to a grated cheese factory and then a snow city which the students all enjoyed. The interest and excitement of exploring different materials and their properties in class has been infectious!

Happy Hari Raya Haji to all our families who celebrated this Thursday.
Have a lovely weekend.
Thanks
Mrs M & Ms Sally
